  • To begin with, connect your USB flash drive to your Windows computer.
  • Make sure that the computer detects your drive.
  • If your USB drive is not detected, remove and reconnect the drive to your computer’s USB port.
  • Next, double-click the This PC or My Computer shortcut icon on the desktop.
  • Locate your USB drive volume and give a right-click on it.
  • Select Norton 360 –> Scan Now from the menu that appears.
  • Now, the Norton 360 antivirus program will scan your USB flash drive.
  • Wait until the scan is completed.
  • If it is the first time scan for your USB flash drive using Norton 360, it may take a few minutes. Otherwise, Norton finishes it quickly by scanning the new and changed files.

Alternative method: Custom Scan

  • Start by plugging your USB flash drive into your computer’s USB port.

  • In the My Norton window, click Open next to Device Security.
  • Give a double-click on the Security tab and select Scans.
  • Under Scans and Tasks, click on Custom Scan.

  • Choose your USB flash drive from the available list.
  • Click Scan and wait until the scan is completed.
  • Review the scan results in the Results Summary window.
  • Click Finish and close the Norton 360 antivirus program.
  • Unplug the USB drive from your computer, if necessary.
