Remove Webroot From Mac

It is important to rely on antivirus software to avoid digital threats. Knowing our needs, most of the antivirus programs are created for free to use for a trial period. Some antivirus programs are easy to install but hard to uninstall from your computer. One among them is Webroot's SecureAnywhere, and you will be unable to install any new antivirus software until the Webroot program is fully removed from your Mac. This software does not have a built-in Uninstall function.

How to remove Webroot from Mac in safe mode

To remove Webroot, you need to boot your Mac into Safe Mode and then have to uninstall it.

How to start up in Safe Mode?

  • Shut down your Mac and start or restart.
  • Once your Mac resumes, immediately press and hold the Shift key.
  • You can see the Apple logo on your display.
  • Once you see the login window, release the Shift key.

Remove/uninstall Webroot from Mac

  • Before you start the removing process, have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • To remove Webroot SecureAnywhere from Mac, you need to shut down the program first.
  • Select the Webroot icon from your Mac's menu bar.
  • Click Shut Down SecureAnywhere.
  • You can also control-click the app's icon in the Dock and select Quit.
  • If prompted, you need to confirm that you want to shut down SecureAnywhere.
  • Select the Finder icon in the Dock.
  • Open the App directory.
  • Select the Webroot SecureAnywhere program icon and drag and drop it into the Trash Bin in the Dock.
  • Once the confirmation window appears, click Uninstall.
  • Webroot SecureAnywhere is now removed from your Mac.
  • Reboot your Mac.
