Remove Kaspersky through the installation wizard

  • If you have installed Kaspersky locally, it can only be removed using the installation wizard. In case you have installed it using Kaspersky Security Center, you cannot remove it through the installation wizard. Follow these instructions to remove Kaspersky via the installation wizard.
  • On your Windows 10 computer, go to the Control Panel section and click on Programs and Features.
  • Choose the Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows option and click Change.
  • Finally, click Remove in the installation wizard window.
  • Now, choose the required checkboxes. For example, if you want to store the activation code information for reinstalling the app, check the Activation data checkbox.
  • If you prefer to back up your files, check the box next to Backup and Quarantine objects.
  • Once done, click Next > Remove.
  • Once you have removed Kaspersky, restart your Windows 10 computer.

Remove Kaspersky through the command line

  • You can remove Kaspersky via the command line in the interactive mode and the silent mode. Follow the instructions below:
  • In Interactive mode
  • If you prefer to remove Kaspersky through the Ccommand Pprompt window in the interactive mode, it requires the user's participation.
  • To proceed further, open the Ccommand Pprompt window.
  • Type the command \setup.exe /x and press Enter.
  • Go ahead with the instructions and remove Kaspersky.
  • In case your Kaspersky app is password protected, run the following command and press Enter.
  • setup.exe /pKLLOGIN= /pKLPASSWD=*** /x

In silent mode

  • Open the Command Prompt window, and run the \setup.exe /s /x command, and press Enter.
  • If your app is password protected, run the command setup.exe /pKLLOGIN= /pKLPASSWD=*** /s /x and press Enter.

Remove Kaspersky through Kaspersky Security Center 10

  • As previously mentioned, you can remove Kaspersky remotely through Kaspersky Security Center 10.
  • To remove Kaspersky through the group task, open Kaspersky Security Center 10.
  • Select the group of devices. Click Tasks > Create a task.
  • Now, open the Administrator Server and click Advanced followed by Remote uninstallation.
  • On the Select application to be removed screen, click Uninstall application supported by Kaspersky Security Center 10.
  • Follow the instructions and run the task manually.
  • Within a few seconds, Kaspersky will be uninstalled from your computer.
  • If you prefer to remove Kaspersky through the tasks for selected devices, open Kaspersky Security Center 10, click Tasks ion the left pane, and click the Create a task button.
  • Now, open the Administration Server. Click Advanced > Remote uninstallation > Uninstall the application supported by Kaspersky Security Center.
  • Go ahead with the instructions and uninstall Kaspersky.
  • If your Kaspersky is password-protected, go to the Uninstall application remotely section. Open Settings and check the box next to Use uninstall password.

Remove Kaspersky through the group policies

  • You can remove Kaspersky through a domain network's Active Directory group policies. To proceed further, open the Command Prompt window and enter the command gpmc.msc.
  • When the Group Policy Management window appears, go to the Group policy objects section.
  • Choose Computer Configuration > Policies > Software settings > Software installation.
  • Right-click on the installation package and select All Tasks followed by Remove.
  • In the next window, select the Immediately delete this application from all user computers option and click OK.
  • Once you have applied the group policy on your devices, Kaspersky will be removed from your Windows 10 computer.

In this manner, you can remove Kaspersky from your Windows 10 computer.
