  • Open your Norton security product by clicking the Open option.
  • In the Norton product’s main window, click Settings.
  • Select the Firewall or Network option in the Settings window.
  • Click on the Intrusion and Browser Protection tab.
  • Under Intrusion Prevention, enable App URL Monitoring.

TURN OFF AUTOMATIC PROGRAM CONTROL:

  • Open your Norton security product.
  • In the Norton product’s main window, click Settings.
  • Click Firewall in the Settings window and then select Advanced Program Control option.
  • Now, disable Automatic Program Control and click Yes.
  • Choose Apply and then click Close.

MANUALLY CONFIGURE THE INTERNET ACCESS SETTINGS:

  • When your program tries to access the internet, your Norton product prompts a Firewall alert.
  • Start your program and then open the Firewall Alert window.
  • From the Options drop-down list, select an action.
  • You can allow, block, or create a program rule.
  • Finally, click OK
