Causes Of Norton Anti-Spam Issues

If the tagged emails from your email client are not moving to the Norton Anti-Spam folder, it means the “Norton anti-spam is not working” properly. This occurs due to:

  • There’s a problem with the email client integration (for email clients other than Outlook).
  • The client is not integrated with the anti-spam components (for Outlook).

Solutions To Fix Norton Anti-spam Not Working Problem

For email clients other than Microsoft Outlook

  • Create a rule that allows Norton to move the tagged emails to the Norton Anti-Spam folder. You can create such rules in your email client.
  • After creating the rule, check whether anti-spam is working by tagging an unsolicited email.

For Outlook

To fix the “Norton's anti-spam not working” issue in Outlook, re-enable the Antispam Client Integration on your Norton product. Follow the instructions below to perform the same.

  • Open the Norton product installed on your computer.
  • Click on the Settings option.
  • Select the Anti-Spam option on the opened screen.
  • Go to the Email Clients section followed by the Client Integration tab.
  • Deselect the Outlook client by clicking the slider beside it.
  • Click the Apply button.
  • Close the Norton application and other applications running on your computer.
  • Restart your computer.
  • After your computer restarts, open Norton.
  • Click Settings > Anti-Spam.
  • Access the Client Integration tab.
  • Enable the Outlook option.
  • Click Apply > Close.
  • Close all the applications, including Norton.
  • Restart your computer again.
