Norton 360 Deluxe Operating System Not Supported

Norton is compatible only with some specific Operating Systems. If you try to install it on an incompatible Operating System, you will see the “This product is incompatible with this computer’s operating System… when installing Norton” or “Norton product will not install in compatibility mode. CHECK THE COMPATIBILITY

Before trying out the troubleshooting solutions, check whether your OS is compatible with Norton. Norton is compatible only with the following Operating Systems:

  • Microsoft Windows 11

  • Microsoft Windows 8/8.1
  • Microsoft Windows 7
  • Microsoft Windows Vista
  • Microsoft Windows XP (32 bit)

RUN WINDOWS UPDATES

Sometimes, you can fix the error message when you update Windows to the latest version. Follow these instructions for the detailed procedure.

Update Windows
  • Open the Run command dialog box by pressing the Windows and R keys.
  • Type wuapp and click OK.
  • If you see the User Account Control (UAC) dialog box, click Yes.
  • In the left pane, click the Check for updates option.
  • Follow the instructions on the screen and update Windows.
  • To run Windows updates on Windows 10/11, click Start and type Windows Update in the search field.
  • Choose Windows Update Settings and click Install Now.
  • Follow the instructions and complete the installation.
  • In case you still see the error message, run the installer in Normal mode. The following section will guide you in that regard.

RUN NORTON 360 DELUXE IN NORMAL MODE

  • When you run Norton in compatible mode, you might encounter the Operating System not supported error code.
  • To fix this issue, you should run the program in Normal mode. To do so, right-click on the downloaded Norton file and click Properties.
  • Go to the Compatibility tab. Under the Compatibility mode section, uncheck the Run the program in compatibility mode for option.
  • Run Norton 360 Deluxe again and check whether you can install it without any problem.
