KASPERSKY CAUSINGWINDOWS 10 TO CRASH

Kaspersky is a super-effective antivirus software that secures your computer against all cyber threats. It will regularly scan your device for viruses and other malware. But sometimes, the Kaspersky software may result in the crashing of your Windows 10 computer. This issue will occur due to the Windows Defender, an incompatible version of the antivirus, etc. By following the below instructions, you can troubleshoot this issue on your Windows 10 computer.

DISABLE WINDOWS DEFENDER:

Update And Security Option
  • Click the Start menu on your Windows 10 computer.
  • Open the Settings window.
Virus And Threat Protection Section
  • Select the Update & Security option from the list of settings.
  • In the next window, click on the Windows Security option from the left menu pane on the screen.
  • Now, select the Virus & threat protection option from the list.
Turn Off Windows Defender
  • Choose the Manage settings option below the Virus & threat protection section.
  • Click on the toggle button in the Real-time protection section to turn off Windows Defender on your computer.

If it doesn’t work, follow the next instructions.

INSTALL THE COMPATIBLE VERSION OF KASPERSKY:

Start The Installation Process
  • Launch the default browser on your Windows 10 computer.
  • Go to Kaspersky’s official webpage and navigate to the latest version to download.
  • Make sure to download the latest Kaspersky software that is compatible with your Windows 10 computer.
  • After completing the download, run the Kaspersky file to start the installation process.
  • Click on the Continue button by accepting the End User License Agreement.
Click Done
  • Now, follow the on-screen instructions and click the Install button.
  • The installation takes some time to complete.
  • Now, select the settings you wish to use in the Recommended window and click on the Apply button. Next, click Done.
  • Now, the Kaspersky antivirus software will be installed successfully on your Windows 10 computer.

If the issue still continues, follow the below instructions.

USE THE CLEAN BOOT METHOD:

  • Select the Start button on your computer.
  • Next, open the Run dialog box.
  • Now, type msconfig in the respective field and press the Enter key on your keyboard.

  • Next, the System Configuration window will appear on the screen.
  • Click on the General tab and choose the Selective Startup option from the list.
  • Now, deselect the Load startup items checkbox and select the Service tab at the top of the window.

  • Next, make a tick mark on the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox at the bottom of the window and click the Disable all button.
  • At last, click OK.
  • Now, you need to restart your Windows 10 computer.
  • To do so, go back to the General tab in the System Configuration window
Select The Normal Startup
  • Next, select the Normal startup option from the list and click the OK button.
  • Now, restart your Windows 10 computer.
  • By now, your computer should be free from the crashing problem (due to Kaspersky) and must work fine.
