Uninstall Norton 360 Manually:

  • Before following the instructions, you need to close the Norton application on your Mac computer, if it is open.
  • On your Mac, choose the Finder icon from the dock and select the Applications on the left pane under the Favorites section.
  • Now, detect the Norton application icon and move it to the Trash.
  • You can do one of the following processes based on your macOS version:
  • Suppose you are using macOS 10.15.x (Catalina) or later version, select Continue to accept your Norton product to remove the system extension.
  • Suppose you are using macOS 10.14.x (Mojave) or an earlier version, then follow the steps given below.
  • When prompted, you need to type the administrator account username and password.
  • Click OK.  
  •  Now, the uninstall window will appear and ask you to confirm.
  • Click Uninstall.
  • Follow the on-screen prompt and type the administrator account username and password.
  • Click Install Helper.
  • Now, you must restart your Mac computer after uninstalling the Norton 360 Product.
  • Click Restart Now.

Uninstall Norton 360 Using Norton Product Menu:

The below steps are applicable only for macOS 10.14.x (Mojave) or earlier versions.

  • From the Mac menu bar, select the Norton product icon and click Open Norton.
  • On the Norton menu, select Norton > Uninstall Norton Security.
  •  Now, the uninstall window will appear and ask you to confirm.
  • Click Uninstall.
  • Type the administrator account username, password and click Install Helper.
  • Now, you must restart your Mac computer after uninstalling the Norton 360 Product.
  • Click Restart Now.
