However, you can schedule scans at the required times. To know how to run a Webroot scan on your Mac, follow the steps given below.

Steps to review the last scan results:

  • On your Mac, click the Webroot SecureAnywhere shortcut icon on the menu bar.
  • Select the Open Webroot SecureAnywhere option from the drop-down list to open the app.
  • You can also open the Webroot SecureAnywhrere app by clicking its shortcut icon in the Dock panel.
  • In the main window, navigate to the Protected section to review the last scan results.

Running a Webroot scan on your Mac from the menu bar:

  • Before you begin, close all the running apps on your Mac.
  • Next, click the Webroot icon on the menu bar.
  • Select the Scan for Threats or Scan My Computer option from the drop-down list.
  • Wait for Webroot to scan all the files and folders on your Mac.
  • Once the scan is completed, remove the threats identified by the app.

Running a Webroot scan from the main interface:

  • Launch the Webroot SecureAnywhere software. You can do it by clicking the Webroot icon at the menu bar and selecting the Open Webroot SecureAnywhere option from the drop-down list.
  • In the Webroot dashboard, click the Scan My Computer button on the right-side panel.
  • If Webroot scans your Mac, you will get the scan results in the Protected section.

Scheduling Webroot scans:

  • Launch the Webroot SecureAnywhere app first.
  • Click the Webroot SecureAnywhere menu.
  • Choose Preferences from the drop-down list to open the Advanced Settings window.
  • Alternatively, click the Advanced Settings button in the Webroot main interface to schedule scans.
  • Click the Scan Schedule tab from the left-side panel of the Advanced Settings window.
  • Select the Enable Scheduled Scans checkbox.
  • Specify the frequency and time for the scans.
  • Next, select all the checkboxes to perform the scheduled activity.
  • If you wish to change the Webroot scan on your Mac, click the Scan Settings tab from the left-side panel of the Advanced Settings window. Under Scan Options, choose the required scan options.
  • Below Scan Type, choose either Full scan or Quick scan as your scan type.
  • Click the Close button to save the scan settings.

Running Webroot scan on your Mac for specific files and folders:

  • On your Mac, go to the file or folder you wish to scan.
  • Select the file or folder and press the Control button. Give a right-click on the file or folder.
  • Choose the Scan With Webroot option from the menu that appears.
