Solution 1: Remove Malicious Profiles

  • On your Mac, click the Apple menu available at the top-left corner and select the System Preferences option from the drop-down list.

  • On your Mac, launch the Terminal app and type the ‘sudo nano /private/etc/hosts’ command. Press the Enter key.
  • If prompted, enter your Mac administrator password in the required fields and hit Enter.
  • Edit the Hosts file using the below-mentioned commands. These commands should be placed between 127.0.0.1 localhost and 255.255.255.255 broadcast.

  • 127.0.0.1 searchmine.com
  • 127.0.0.1 searchmine.io
  • 127.0.0.1 anysearch.com
  • 127.0.0.1 mycouponsmart.com
  • Next, press the Command + O shortcut keys to save the Hosts file and exit by pressing the Control + X shortcut keys.
  • Reboot your Mac after closing the Terminal window.
