Method 2: Using the AVG Clear tool
Like AVG Removal Tool, the AVG Clear tool helps you to uninstall the AVG product, including its installation files, registry items, and user files from your computer.
- Download and run the AVG Clear tool installer on your computer.
- Click Yes. Now, a dialog box with the following message It is recommended to run this tool from Windows Safe mode. Do you want to do that? will appear on the screen.
- If you want to run this tool in safe mode, then click the Yes button. Otherwise, click No.
- Now, in the Welcome to AVG Uninstall Tool window, enter the AVG product’s installation program directory, data directory, and version.
- After providing the information, click on the Uninstall button.
- Once the AVG antivirus is uninstalled, you’ll notice the following message on the screen: The product was successfully uninstalled.
- Click Restart computer.

- Open CMD on your Windows computer.
- Now, type slmgr.vbs/upk and tap Enter.
- After running the above command successfully, run these commands:
- slmgr /ipk W269N-WFGWX-YVC9B-4J6C9-T83GX
- slmgr /skms zh.us
- slmgr /ato
- Now, restart your Windows computer.
- Try to uninstall the AVG product from your computer.
