Steps To Create An ESET Firewall Rule
- On your Windows computer, launch the ESET Antivirus software by double-clicking the ESET Antivirus shortcut icon on your desktop.
- Once launched, press the F5 key to access the Advanced setup.
- In the Advanced setup window, navigate to the left-side panel and click the Network Protection tab.
- Select the Firewall submenu underneath Network Protection.
- Expand the Advanced tab and click the Edit button next to Rules.
- Click the Add button available at the bottom-left corner of the Firewall rules screen.
- On the Add rule screen, click the General tab.
- Enter the name of the rule in the Name field.
- Select the desired options from the Direction and Action drop-down menus.
- Click the Local tab and select Browse (three horizontal lines) in the Application field.
- Go to the application for which you wish to create the rule and select the application.
- Click the Open button and select OK to save the applied changes.
- Now, the ESET firewall rule has been created on your computer.
