  • If the Bitdefender Antivirus software is already open, close it and restart your Windows 10 computer.
  • Check if the Bitdefender Antivirus software is being blocked by any third-party application on your computer.
  • If so, remove them from your computer.
  • Also, check whether you have properly disabled the Windows Defender software.
  • If you are using an outdated Bitdefender version, updating it to the latest version might fix the issue.
  • To update it manually, give a right-click on the Bitdefender icon in the system tray.
  • Select the Update Now option from the pop-up menu.
  • If you are using a proxy, make sure that you have properly configured it.
  • Make sure that you have correctly disabled the active firewall on your computer.
  • Once updated, relaunch the Bitdefender Antivirus software and check if the problem has been resolved.
