Solution: 1

  • On your Windows computer, click the Windows icon available at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
  • Click the Settings icon to open the Windows Settings.
  • Select the Apps & Features option and select the Avira Antivirus software from the displayed list.
  • Also, select the Avira related files, including the launcher.
  • After selecting the Avira programs, click the Uninstall button at the top of the window.
  • If the User Account Control (UAC) dialog box pops-up, click the Yes button to confirm the uninstallation.
  • Next, click the OK button and restart your Windows.
  • After restarting your Windows, check if the Avira Antivirus is entirely removed from your PC. Hereafter you won't get any Avira cannot be uninstalled issue.

  • If you are using Windows 10, type Change advanced startup options in the search panel.
  • From the search result, click the Restart now button.
  • In the next screen, select the Troubleshoot option followed by Advanced options.
  • Under Advanced options, select the Startup settings tab.
  • When the Startup settings screen appears, select the Enable Safe Mode option by pressing the Number 4 key.
  • Now, you will be directed to start your Windows in Safe Mode.
  • Once you are in Safe Mode, you can uninstall any software installed on your computer.
  • Navigate to the Windows Control Panel and uninstall the Avira Antivirus software.

Solution: 3

  • Open the Run panel by pressing the Windows + R shortcut keys.
  • Type Regedit in the Run panel and press the Enter key to open the Windows Registry Editor.
  • Create a backup of your registry files.
  • In the Registry Editor window, locate the Avira entries and remove them one by one.
  • After removing all the Avira entries from the Windows Registry Editor, restart your computer and check if the Avira Antivirus software is uninstalled.

  • On your Windows, open the default browser and go to the official Microsoft site.
  • Download the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter compatible with your Windows OS.
  • After downloading the troubleshooter, install it and click the Run button.
  • Once you launch the troubleshooter, it will automatically detect and repair the problem that restricts the uninstallation of Avira Antivirus software from your PC.
  • If the Avira cannot be uninstalled issue persists, download and install the Avira Uninstall tool to remove the Avira product from your device.
