Steps To Configure
- To configure the firewall settings in the local Avast Business Antivirus clients, you have to log in to your Avast Business Management Console.
- Once you have logged in to your Cloud Management Console, click on Policies from the left-side panel.
- Select the settings template and click on Customize next to Firewall under the Windows Workstation tab.
- In general, the Avast Firewall is divided into Networks and Rules categories.
- The Networks section allows you to define the network for the selected profile.
- You can also enable the Internet Connection Sharing mode for trusted users to connect to the Internet through your computer.
- Click the Networks tab in the Undefined networks section and select Users can choose profile from the drop-down menu.
- Select Apply changes at the top-right corner and click the Rules tab.
- Deselect the Control all rules via the web console checkbox.
- Click on Apply changes again and allow time for the new settings to pass on to your devices.
- To add application rules, go to the Application rules tab and select Add application rule.
- Fill in the application form and select the connections to be allowed.
- Make sure to apply the changes after configuring the necessary rules.
- To access custom application rules, click the Edit or pencil icon and select the Set custom packet rules option next to the All Connections drop-down menu.
- Click Update and save the application rule.
- You have now configured the advanced firewall settings in Avast for business.
