Acronis True Image is a data protection software used to back up, archive, access, and recover your important data. You can uninstall this software on your computer using the Programs and Features feature in the Control Panel. If Acronis won't uninstall, use the uninstaller to remove it from your computer.

Steps To Uninstall

  • First, open Run by pressing the Windows + R shortcut keys.
  • Type 'control' in the Run dialog box and hit the Enter key to launch the Control Panel.
  • Click the Uninstall a program link beneath Programs in the Control Panel window.
  • Select the Acronis program from the displayed list and click the Uninstall button.
  • Once again, click the Uninstall button to confirm your action.

Uninstall Acronis True Image Using Uninstaller

  • Open the downloaded Acronis setup file.
  • Run the installation and select the Uninstall option to start the uninstaller.
  • If prompted, confirm your action in the uninstaller to remove Acronis True Image from your computer.
  • Restart your computer after uninstalling Acronis.

Uninstall Acronis Using Cleanup Utility

  • Before starting the uninstall process using the Acronis Cleanup utility, deactivate the Startup Recovery Manager if you have not yet done it.
  • Download the Cleanup utility and run it.
  • Press '2' on your keyboard and hit the Enter key.
  • Type 'Y' and hit the Enter key to uninstall Acronis from your computer.
  • If you are asked to terminate the Windows Explorer, type 'Y' in the Administrator window and hit the Enter key.
  • If you are asked to restart your PC, type in ‘N’ to close the Cleanup utility.
  • Launch the Run dialog box, type 'Regedit' in the text field, and hit the Enter key to open the Registry Editor.
  • Navigate to the ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}’ file path.
  • Locate UpperFilters or LowerFilters in the displayed window.
  • Also, check for the snapman*, tdrpman*, fltsrv*, timounter* strings.
  • Remove these strings from the UpperFilters and LowerFilters.
  • Double-click the strings and click OK.
  • Finally, reboot your computer and check if Acronis has been removed. If still your Acronis won't uninstall, call us.
